Danyl Johnson - 'Worlds Aids Day' 1st December

Danyl Johnson - Performs Eagle Bar Manchster 1st December for ''World Aids Day'' in conjunction with PRB Media Agency.

In celebration of the internationally recognised 'World Aids Day', Eagle Bar Manchester pulls out all the stops, aiming to raise a massive bundle of cash for local HIV causes. Gaydio's 'Nicksy' will be on hand to introduce the evenings main attraction, an exclusive PA by X-Factor finalist and all round good egg, Danyl Johnson.

Danyl will also being sticking around after performing to meet a lucky few of you as well. On top of all of that you might be lucky enough to win one of our raffle prizes kindly donated by local businesses. As World Aids Day is supported by our entire community, Eagle Bar will be open to everyone, both men and women for the duration of the night.

World AIDS Day, observed December 1 each year, is dedicated to raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection. It is common to hold memorials to honor persons who have died from HIV/AIDS on this day. Government and health officials also observe the event, often with speeches or forums on the AIDS topics. Since 1995, the President of the United Stares has made an official proclamation on World AIDS Day. Governments of other nations have followed suit and issued similar announcements.

AIDS has killed more than 25 million people between 1981 and 2007, and an estimated 33.2 million people worldwide live with HIV as of 2007, making it one of the most destructive epidemics in recorded history. Despite recent, improved access to antiretroviral treatment and care in many regions of the world, the AIDS epidemic claimed an estimated 2 million lives in 2007, of which about 270,000 were children. AIDS Charity has also got some big celebrity supporters; Elton John, George Michale, Alan Carr, Sir Tom Jones, Simon Cowell, Shirley Bassey, Sharon Osborne, Sting, Stevie Wonder & Kate Moss to name but a few high profile celebrities.

The Eagle Bar located in the heart of Manchester’s gay village, offers a unique experience for men from all over the UK and beyond. Each of the different segments of this incomparable venue aims to explore the depths of your mind, and promises to deliver a truly diverse night out in a relaxed environment.

Complimenting Manchester’s industrial history, with a nod towards a plush Victorian style, The Eagle has been designed by a team who have taken time to consider the needs and requirements of you the customer, paying extensive attention to detail, maximising the potential for an unforgettable night out.
